ACT I OF 2017 ACT I OF 2017 BALOCHISTAN MOTOR VEHICLES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2017 An Act further to amend the Balochistan Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965 (W.P. Ordinance No. XIX of 1965) [Gazette of Balochistan Extraordinary, 5th May, 2017] No. PAB/Legis:v(01)/2013, dated 5.5.2017.---The Balochistan Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill (Bill No.01 of 2017) having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 17th April, 2017 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 3rd May, 2017 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---WHEREAS, it is expedient to amend the Balochistan Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965 (Ordinance No. XIX of 1965), in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 3. Substitution of the Twelfth Schedule to W.P. Ordinance XIX of 1965.---In the said Act, for "The Twelfth Schedule" the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "THE TWELFTH SCHEDULE (See Section 116-A) PENALTY RATES MOVING VIOLATION S. Not obeying prescribed parking hours. 100/- 200/- 300/- Note:-- 1. Lifter charges of Rs. 1000/- (for normal vehicles) and Rs. 1200/- (for LTV Vehicles) is also proposed. 2. The proposed penalties are not exceeding the approved fine rates applied in other cities of Pakistan. 3. If traffic violators are not pinched with a reasonable amount of fine, they will never start respecting traffic laws. 4. Tinted glasses market cost is between Rs. 2500/- to Rs. 5000/-. A person who spends thousands of rupees on installation of tinted glasses he/she can also pay a meagre amount of Rs. 500/- as fine easily. These lesser penalties encourage the criminal elements for repeatedly using the tinted glasses during their unwanted activities."
