ACT I OF 2017 ACT I OF 2017 BALOCHISTAN MOTOR VEHICLES (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2017 An Act further to amend the Balochistan Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965 (W.P. Ordinance No. XIX of 1965) [Gazette of Balochistan Extraordinary, 5th May, 2017] No. PAB/Legis:v(01)/2013, dated 5.5.2017.---The Balochistan Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill (Bill No.01 of 2017) having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 17th April, 2017 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 3rd May, 2017 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---WHEREAS, it is expedient to amend the Balochistan Motor Vehicles Ordinance, 1965 (Ordinance No. XIX of 1965), in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 4. Substitution of The Thirteenth Schedule to Ordinance XIX of 1965.---In the said Act, for "The Thirteenth Schedule" the following shall be substituted, namely:-- "THE THIRTEENTH SCHEDULE (See Sections 50, 53 and 67) Scale of compensation payable on death or injury to a passenger in a stage carriage or contract carriage Sr. No. Death or Injury Amount of compensation in rupees 1 2 3 1. Loss of leg below the knee. Rs. 1,00,000/- 6. Loss of both legs. Rs. 2,50,000/- 7. Permanent loss of hearing. Rs. 1,00,000/- 8. Loss of one eye. Rs. 1,00,000/- 9. Loss of both eyes. Rs. 2,00,000/- 10. Loss of thumb. Rs. 50,000/- 11. Loss of all finger of one foot. Rs. 75,000/- 12. Loss of index finger. Rs. 60,000/- 13. Loss of great toe. Rs. 70,000/- 14. Loss of any finger other than index finger. Rs. 45,000/- 15. Permanent disfiguration of the face or head. Rs. 1,00,000/- 16. Fracture or dislocation of a bone. Rs. 1,00,000/- 17. Emasculation. Rs. 60,000/- 18. Loss of one tooth. Rs. 25,000/- 19. Loss of two or more teeth. Rs. 40,000/- 20. Any injury which endangers life or which causes the sufferer to be, during the space of twenty days, serve bodily pain, or render him unable to follow his ordinary pursuits. Rs. 40,000/- 21. Any injury not specified above. Rs. 20,000/- 22. Maximum limit of compensation payable for more than one injury. Rs. 1,75,000/-"
