ACT III OF 2017 ACT III OF 2017 BALOCHISTAN SENIOR CITIZENS ACT, 2017 An Act to provide for the well-being, comfort and other benefits to the Senior Citizens in Balochistan and to make provisions for the welfare of the Senior Citizens [Gazette of Balochistan Extraordinary, 8th June, 2017] No. PAB/Legis:v(04)/2017/8833, dated 8.6.2017.---The Balochistan Senior Citizens Bill (Bill No. 04 of 2017) having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 20th May, 2017 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 07th June, 2017 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---WHAREAS the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973, enjoin on the state to alleviate the sufferings of all the citizens, irrespective of sex, caste, creed or race. Therefore, it is expedient to make provision for the well-being, comfort and social security to the Senior Citizens living in the Province of Balochistan; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 6. Member/Secretary of the Council.---Secretary/Member shall be the head of the secretariat of the Senior Citizen Welfare Council, Balochistan, and perform his functions under the direct control and supervision of the Chairperson.
