ACT XXIII OF 2020 ACT XXIII OF 2020 ANTI-TERRORISM (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020 An Act further to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 [Gazette of Pakistan Extraordinary, Part I, 22nd August, 2020] No. F. 9(25)/2020-Legis, dated 21.8.2020.---The following Act of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) received the assent of the President on 19th August, 2020 and is hereby published for general information:- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 (XXVII of 1997), for the purposes hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 8. Amendment of section 11OO, Act XXVII of 1997.---In the said Act, in section 11OO, in subsection (1), for the expression "required for meeting necessary medical and educational expenses and for subsistence allowance,", the expression "basic expenses, including payments for foodstuffs, rent or mortgage, medicines and medical treatment, taxes, insurance premiums, and public utility charges, or exclusively for payment of reasonable professional fees and reimbursement of incurred expenses associated with the provision of legal services. or fees or service charges for routine holding or maintenance of frozen funds or other financial assets or economic resources or such money as may be required for meeting extraordinary expenses," shall be substituted.
