ACT XXIII OF 2020 ACT XXIII OF 2020 ANTI-TERRORISM (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020 An Act further to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 [Gazette of Pakistan Extraordinary, Part I, 22nd August, 2020] No. F. 9(25)/2020-Legis, dated 21.8.2020.---The following Act of Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament) received the assent of the President on 19th August, 2020 and is hereby published for general information:- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 (XXVII of 1997), for the purposes hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:- 10. Amendment of section 19, Act XXVII of 1997.---In the said Act, in section 19, in subsection (1),- (a) after the expression "members.", the expression "The Joint Investigation Team may co-opt any additional person from any Federal or Provincial institution or department as it deems appropriate for investigation." shall be inserted; and (b) for the word "directly", the words "through public prosecutor", shall be substituted.
