ACT VII OF 2020 ACT VII OF 2020 BALOCHISTAN SEIZED AND FREEZED INSTITUTIONS (MADAARIS AND SCHOOLS) ACT, 2020 An Act to provide for establishment of Madaaris and Schools Management Board in Balochistan [Gazette of Balochistan Extraordinary, 9th November, 2020] No. PAB / Legis: V(07) / 2020, dated 9.11.2020.---The Balochistan Seized and Freezed Institutions (Madaaris and Schools) Bill, 2020 (Bill No. 07 of 2020), having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 26th October, 2020 and assented to by the Governor Balochistan, on 06th November, 2020 is hereby published as an Act of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly. Preamble.---WHEREAS, it is expedient to provide for establishment of Madaaris and Schools Management Board to manage the seized and freezed institutions; to ensure mainstreaming of students of such institutions; and to provide for matters connected therewith and ancillary thereto: It is hereby enacted as under: 6. Powers of the Board.---Subject to the provisions of this Act, the Board shall have the powers to: (a) Acquire and dispose of a property and to enter into contracts; (b) Recruit and determine terms and conditions of employees of the institutions, including special dispensation if required; (c) Formulate the budget of the institutions; (d) Lay down the procedure for the conduct of its business; (e) Set up any Committee as may be required for carrying out the purposes of this Act; (f) Hire the services of Staff belonging to the other Provinces as one time dispensation only; and (g) Delegate powers to the Chairperson or a Committee or the Director of the Directorate or any employee of the Board, except the power to make rules or frame regulations.
