CHAP'TER I THE ARBITRATION ACT, 1940 (X OF 1940) [11 March, 1940] An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to Arbitration. WHERE it is expedient to consolidate and amend. the law relating to arbitration in Pakistan. It is hereby enacted as follows:‑ CHAPTER I INTRODUCTORY 1. Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Arbitration Act, 1940. (2) It extends to the whole of Pakistan. (3) It shall come into force on the Ist day of July, 1940.
