CHAPTER II THE ARBITRATION ACT, 1940 (X OF 1940) [11 March, 1940] An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to Arbitration. WHERE it is expedient to consolidate and amend. the law relating to arbitration in Pakistan. It is hereby enacted as follows:‑ CHAPTER II ARBITRATION WITHOUT INTERVENTION OF A COURT 19. Power to supersede arbitration where award becomes void or is set aside. Where an award has become void under sub‑section (3) of Section 16 or has been set aside, the Court may by order supersede the reference and shall there upon order that the arbitration agreement shall cease to have effect with respect to the difference referred.
