THE SECOND SCHEDULE THE ARBITRATION ACT, 1940 (X OF 1940) [11 March, 1940] An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to Arbitration. WHERE it is expedient to consolidate and amend. the law relating to arbitration in Pakistan. It is hereby enacted as follows:‑ THE SECOND SCHEDULE (See Section 41) POWER OF COURT 1. The preservation, interim custody or sale of any goods which are subject‑matter of the reference. 2. Securing the amount in difference in the reference. 3. The detention, preservation or inspection of any property or thing which is the subject of the reference or as to which any question may arise therein and authorizing for any of the aforesaid purposes any person to enter upon or into any land or building in the possession or any party to the reference, or authorizing any samples to be taken or any observation to be made, or experiment to be tried, which may be necessary or expedient for the purpose of obtaining full information or evidence. 4. Interim in junction or the appointment of a receiver. 5. The appointment of a guardian for a minor or person of unsound mind for the purposes of arbitration proceedings.
