ACT X OF 1989 ACT X OF 1989 BALOCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1989 An Act further to amend the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 1980 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 28th November, 1989] No.PAB/LEGIS; 111(13)/89, dated 28-11-1989: - The Balochistan Local Government (Amendment) Bill, 1989 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan on 18th October, 1989 and assented to by the Governor of Balochistan, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly. 2. Amendment of section 68 of Ordinance II of 1980.--In the Balochistan Local Government Ordinance, 1980, the existing section 68, shall be numbered as subsection (1) of that section and after subsection (1), as so numbered, the following new subsections shall be added:-- "(2) The Government may, if it so desires, give retrospective effect to any notification issued under this section. (3) Notwithstanding anything contained in any law for the time being in force, any tax, rate, toll or fees levied, charged, collected or realized before the commencement of this Act shall be deemed to have been validly levied, charged, collected or realized, as if this Act was in force on the day on which such tax was levied, charged, collected or realized."
