Assistance by Government servants.--A person in the service of the Federal Government, a Provincial Government, a local Government or a body owned or controlled by the Federal or a Provincial Government is guilty of an offence punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both if he, in any manner, gives any assistance calculated to further or hinder the election of a candidate.
