ORDINANCE X OF 2000 BALOCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2000 ORDINANCE X OF 2000 An Ordinance to amend the Balochistan Local Government Election Ordinance, 2000 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 25th November, 2000] No. Legis.-1-122(Law)/2000, dated 25-11-2000.---The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 20th November, 2000, is hereby published for general information--- Whereas it is expedient to amend the Balochistan Local Government Election Ordinance, 2000, in the manner hereafter appearing; And, whereas, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency, dated 10th October, 1999, and under Article 3(2) of the Provisional Constitution Order No. 1 of 1999, dated 14th October, 1999, the Governor of a Province is to act on the instructions of the Chief Executive; And whereas, under Article 4 of the Provisional Constitution (Amendment) Order No.9 of 1999, the Governor of a Province may, on the instructions of the Chief Executive of Pakistan, issue and promulgate an Ordinance; And whereas, under the Local Government Elections Order, 2000 (No.8 of 2000), the Chief Executive of Pakistan has been pleased to empower the Chief Election Commissioner to conduct Local Government Elections in the Provinces; And whereas, the Governor is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary to take immediate action; Now, therefore, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of the Province of Balochistan, on the instructions of the Chief Executive of Pakistan, is pleased to make and promulgate the following Ordinance:--
