ORDINANCE X OF 1977 ORDINANCE X OF 1977 BALUCHISTAN BOARD OF INTERMEDIATE AND SECONDARY EDUCATION ORDINANCE 1977 An Ordinance to establish Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Balochistan at Quetta [Gazette of Baluchistan, Extraordinary, 7th November 1977] No. Legis 1-34/Law/75.---The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Baluchistan on the 7th November 1977, is hereby published for general information :- 15. Chairman.--(1) The Chairman shall be a whole-time officer and shall be appointed by the Controlling Authority on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Controlling Authority. (2) The Chairman shall hold office for a term of three years from the date of notification of his appointment and on the expiry of the term of office shall be eligible for appointment for such further period not exceeding three years, as may be specified in the order of re-appointment; Provided that the Controlling Authority may, at any time review the work of the Chairman and if on such review it is satisfied that in the interest of the Board, or for any other sufficient cause, it is necessary to do so, it may, after giving the Chairman an opportunity of showing cause against the proposed action, reduce the term of office of the Chairman to such period to it way determine. (3) If at any time the office of the Chairman is vacant temporarily or otherwise, by reason of leave, illness or other cause, for a period not exceed ing one year, the Controlling Authority shall take such arrangements for carrying out the duties of the office of the Chairman as it may thick fit. (4) The Chairman shall be the principal executive and academic officers of the Board and shall, when present, preside at the meetings of. (i) The Board. (ii) The Committees of the Board constituted under section 18. (5) It shall be the duty of the Chairman to ensure that the provisions of this Ordinance and the regulations sad rules are faithfully observed and caused out, and be shall exercise all powers necessary for dais purpose. (6) The Chairman may create a temporary post under the Board for a period not exceeding six months. (7) In any emergency arising out of the Administrative business of the Board and requiring in the opinion of the Chairman, immediate actions the Chairman may take such action at he may doom necessary and shall report the action taken to the Board at its next meeting for approval. (8) The Chairman shall exercise such other powers as may be prescribed by regulations.
