THE ANTIQUITIES (EXPORT CONTROL) ACT, 1947 THE ANTIQUITIES (EXPORT CONTROL) ACT, 1947 ACT No. XXXI of 1947 (For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see Gazette of India, 1947, Pt. V, p. 372. The Act has been applied to Baluchistan, see Ibid., Pt. I, p. 860. It has been extended to the Leased Areas of Baluchistan by the Leased Areas (Laws) Order, 1950 (G. G. O. 3 of 1950).) [18th April, 1947] An Act to control the export of antiquities WHEREAS it is expedient to make better provision for control ling the export of objects of antiquarian or historical interest or significance ; 7. Power to make rules ----‑(1) The Central Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, make rules (For such rules, see Gazette of Pakistan, 1948, Pt. I, p. 154,) to carry out the purposes of this Act. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such rules may prescribe the procedure for granting licences for the export of antiquities, and fix the fees payable on applications therefor.
