BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES QUETTA ORDINANCE, 2002 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES QUETTA ORDINANCE, 2002 ORDINANCE OF XI 2002 An Ordinance to provide for the establishment of the Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences Quetta. The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 8th July, 2002, is hereby published for general information: 9. Chancellor.----(1) The Governor of Balochistan shall be the Chancellor of the University. (2) The Chancellor or in his absence, the Vice-Chancellor shall preside at the convocation of the University. (3) Where the Chancellor is satisfied that the proceedings of any authority or the orders of any Officers are not in accordance with the provision of this Ordinance, Statutes, the Regulations or the Rules, he may, after calling upon such Authority or Officer to show cause as to why such proceedings or order should not be annulled, and by an order in writing, annul such proceedings or order. (4) Every, proposal to confer an honorary degrees shall subject to conformation by the chancellor. (5) The Chancellor shall have the powers to assent to such Statutes as are required to be submitted to him by the University or withhold assent or refer them back to the University for reconsideration. (6) The Chancellor may remove any person. From the memberships of any Authority of the University if such person:- (a) has become of unsound mind; or (b) has become subject to an incapacity from functioning as a member of such Authority; or (c) does not attend three consecutive meetings without intimation to the Vice-Chancellor; or (d) remains absent from the country for more than six months without intimation to the Vice-Chancellor; or (e) has been convicted by the Court of law of an offence involving oral turpitude.
