BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES QUETTA ORDINANCE, 2002 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES QUETTA ORDINANCE, 2002 ORDINANCE OF XI 2002 An Ordinance to provide for the establishment of the Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences Quetta. [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 18th July, 2002] No. Legis: 1-130/Law/2001, dated 18-7-2002. The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 8th July, 2002, is hereby published for general information: 19. Syndicate. ---(1) The Syndicate shall consist of:-- (a) Vice-Chancellor who shall be its Chairperson. (b) Chief Justice or any Judge of the Balochistan High Court, to be nominated by the Chief Justice. (c) Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Government of Balochistan Planning & Development Department, Quetta or his nominee not below the rank of Additional Secretary. (d) Secretary to Government of Balochistan, Information Technology Department, Quetta or his nominee not below the rank of Additional Secretary. (e) Secretary to Government of Balochistan, Finance Department, Quetta or his nominee not below the rank of Additional Secretary; (d) Chairman of the University Grants Commission Islamabad or his nominee; (e) Chairman of the University Grants Commission Islamabad or his nominee; (e) One Vice-Chancellor of any recognized University in Pakistan to be nominated by the, Chancellor in consultation with the Vice-Chancellor concerned. (f) Two of the Faculties to be nominated by the Chancellor on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor. (g) Two principals (one male and one female) of Affiliated Colleges to be selected by the Vice-Chancellor. (h) One Professor one Associate Professor, one Assistant Professor and one Lecturer to be nominated by the Academic Council, and (i) Three persons, prominent in the field of their specialization because of their experience and achievements to be nominated by the Chancellor. (2) The Registrar shall also act as Secretary of the Syndicate. (3) The members of the Syndicate other than the Ex-Office members shall hold office for two years. (4) The quorum for a meeting of the Syndicate shall be one third of the total number of its members a fraction being counted as one,
