BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES QUETTA ORDINANCE, 2002 BALOCHISTAN UNIVERSITY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT SCIENCES QUETTA ORDINANCE, 2002 ORDINANCE OF XI 2002 An Ordinance to provide for the establishment of the Balochistan University of Information Technology and Management Sciences Quetta. The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 8th July, 2002, is hereby published for general information: 25. Rules.---(1) Subject to the profusions of this Ordinance, rules may be made to provide for and regulate all or any of the following matters, namely:- (a) the scales of pay and other terms and conditions of service officers, teachers and other employees of the University; (b) the constitution of pension, insurance, gratuity Provident Fund and Benevolent Fund for University employees; (c) efficiency and discipline of University employees; (d) the constitution, powers and duties of the Authorities and conduct of elections to such Authorities and related matters; (e) the affiliation and disaffiliation of Colleges, Institutes, etc., and related matters; (f) the admission of educational Institutions to the privileges of the University and the withdrawal of such privileges; (g) the establishment of Institutes, Faculties, Affiliated Colleges and Academic Divisions; (h) The Powers and duties of officers, teachers and employees of the University; (i) the conditions for appointment of Professors emeritus; (j) the conditions on which the University may enter into arrangements with public bodies or other organizations for purposes of research and advisory services; (k) the award of honorary degrees; (l) the maintenance of register of registered graduates; and (m) any other matters which are to be or may be prescribed of regulated Statutes. (2) The draft of the rules shall be proposed by the Syndicate to the Chancellor for his assent who may approve it with or without any modification or refer it back to Syndicate for reconsideration or reject provided that:-- (a) the rules affecting the constitution or powers of any Authority shall be proposed or approved until such Authority has been given an opportunity of expressing its opinion in writing on the proposal; and (b) the Statutes made under clauses (i) and (ii) of subsection (1) shall not be effective until they have been approved by the Chancellor.
