Persons who may apply for mineral deposit retention licence

BALOCHISTAN MINERAL RULES, 2002 BALOCHISTAN MINERAL RULES, 2002 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 9th March, 2002] No. S.O.(MR)4-6/2002, dated 8-1-2002.--In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2, of the Regulation of Mines and Oil-Fields and Mineral Development (Government Control) Act, 1948, (XXIV of 1948) the Government of Balochistan is pleased to make the flowing Rules:-- PART III MINERAL TITLES AND MINERAL CONCESSIONS Division-4 Mineral deposit retention licence 35. Persons who may apply for mineral deposit retention licence. - A person may apply for the grant of a mineral deposit retention licence if the person is the holder of an exploration licence in relation to the area of land and the mineral or group of minerals to which the application relates and - (a) a potentially economic discovery of mineral deposit has been made in the exploration area: (b) the applicant has completed a full feasibility study to determine whether the mineral deposit can he developed and produced on a profitable basis: (c) the applicant wishes to retain the exploration area or a part thereof for future development office mineral deposit discovered as for good economic or technical reasons, development could not then be reasonably undertaken on a profitable basis and (d) exploration operations and relevant studies have been undertaken to the maximum extent feasible in the circumstances.
