BALOCHISTAN MINERAL RULES, 2002 BALOCHISTAN MINERAL RULES, 2002 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 9th March, 2002] No. S.O.(MR)4-6/2002, dated 8-1-2002.--In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2, of the Regulation of Mines and Oil-Fields and Mineral Development (Government Control) Act, 1948, (XXIV of 1948) the Government of Balochistan is pleased to make the flowing Rules:-- PART III MINERAL TITLES AND MINERAL CONCESSIONS Division-5 Mining Lease 54. Action by licensing authority. On receipt of a notice referred to in Rule 51, or if the licensing authority has reason to believe that the lessee has ceased, whether permanently or temporarily, or reduced, mining operations, the licensing authority may cause the matter to be investigated and - (a) give its approval to the cessation or reduction on such conditions (if any) as the authority may determine; or (b) refuse to give approval, and give such directions to the lessee as the authority deems appropriate.
