BALOCHISTAN MINERAL RULES, 2002 BALOCHISTAN MINERAL RULES, 2002 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 9th March, 2002] No. S.O.(MR)4-6/2002, dated 8-1-2002.--In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2, of the Regulation of Mines and Oil-Fields and Mineral Development (Government Control) Act, 1948, (XXIV of 1948) the Government of Balochistan is pleased to make the flowing Rules:-- PART IV SPECIAL PROVISION RELATING TO SMALL SCALE MINING Division-2 Prospecting Licence 77. Disposal of applications for prospecting licence.- (1) On application made for the grant of a prospecting licence, the licensing authority may, subject to these Rules, grant the licence on such conditions as the authority may determine, or refuse to grant the licence. (2) The licensing authority shall not grant a prospecting licence under sub-rule (1) - (a) in respect of an area of land which is less or more than the minimum and maximum areas specified in the third and fourth columns of the Fourth Schedule in relation to the mineral specified in the first column in that Schedule except as provided in Rule 3. (b) for a period exceeding two years; (3) The provisions of sub-rules (2) and 3(a) and (b) of Rule 27 shall apply, with necessary modifications in relation to prospecting licence as they apply to in relation to a licence under that Rule.
