ORDINANCE IV OF 2000 BALOCIIISTAN CIVIL SERVANTS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 2000 ORDINANCE IV OF 2000 An Ordinance further to amend the Balochistan Civil Servants Act, 1974 [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 8th September, 2000] No. Legis. 1-12/Law/73-II, dated 8-9-2000.--The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 5th September, 2000, is hereby published for general information:---- 2. Substitution of section 13 of Act IX of 1974.--In the Balochistan .Civil Servants Act, 1974, for section 13, the following shall be substituted namely:-- " 13. Retirement from service.--(1) A civil servant shall retire from service--- . (i) On such date after he has completed twenty-five years of service qualifying for pension or other retirement benefits as the competent authority may, in public interest, direct, or (ii) Where no direction is given under clause (i), on the completion of the sixtieth year of his age. (2) No direction under clause (i) of subsection (1) shall be made until the civil servant has been informed in writing of the grounds on which it is proposed to make the direction, and has been given a reasonable opportunity of showing cause against the said direction. Explanation.--In this section "competent authority" means the appointing authority prescribed in rule 4 of the Balochistan Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1979.
