Amendment of section 156 of Ordinance XVIII of 2001.-----In the said Ordinance, after subsection (3) of section 156, the following new subsection shall be added:--. "(3A). The period of one year referred to in subsection (3) shall be computed from the date of assumption of office of the council: Provided that in a year in which general elections are to be held, the by-elections may be held within eighteen months.".
