The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 23rd September, 2002, is hereby published for general information:-- 2. Amendment of section 18-A of Ordinance VI of 2000.---In the Balochistan Local Government Election Ordinance, 2000 after subsection (3) of section 18-A, the following new subsection shall be added:-- "(3-A) The period of one year referred to in subsection. (3) shall be computed from the date of assumption of office of the council: Provided that in a year in which general elections are to be held, the by-elections may be held within eighteen months."
