BALOCHISTAN JUNIPER UNIVERSITY ORDINANCE, 1996 BALOCHISTAN JUNIPER UNIVERSITY ORDINANCE, 1996 An Ordinance to provide for the establishment of Juniper University [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 14th December, 1996] No. LEGIS.I‑108/LAW/96, dated 14‑12‑1996. The following Ordinance made by the Governor of Balochistan on 30th November, 1996, is hereby published for general information:‑‑--- 19. The Executive Committee.‑‑(1) Without prejudice to the generality of the Control of the Board, the general supervision and control of the affairs of the University shall vest in the Executive Committee which shall, subject to reconstitution and expansion from time to time, consist of the following members, namely: (a) Vice‑Chancellor, who shall be Chairman of the Committee; (b) The Pro‑Vice‑Chancellors; (c) The Chief Secretary Balochistan or his nominee; (d) Chairman University Grants Commission or his nominee; (e) Six persons of eminence to be nominated out of which three would be nominated by the Chancellor and other three by the Society; (f) Education Secretary, Government of Balochistan; (2) A person nominated by the Chancellor from amongst the members of the Committee shall act as Secretary of the Committee. (3) A nominated member of the Committee shall hold office for a term of three years and shall be eligible for re‑nomination on the expiry of his term unless the Chancellor earlier terminates his membership. (4) The office of the nominated member of the Committee shall become vacant if he resigns or fails to attend three consecutive meetings of the Committee without sufficient cause of leave of absence. (5) No act or proceeding of the Committee shall be invalid by reasons only of the existence of a vacancy in or any defect in the constitution of the Committee.
