BANK OF PUNJAB (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1997 BANK OF PUNJAB (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE, 1997 An Ordinance further to amend the Bank of Punjab Act, 1989 [Gazette of Punjab, Extraordinary, 8th May, 1997] No.Legis‑3(XVIII)/97, dated 8‑5‑1997.‑‑The following Ordinance promulgated by the Governor of the Punjab is hereby published for general information:‑‑ 1. Short title and commencement.‑‑(1) This Ordinance may be called the Bank of Punjab (Amendment) Ordinance, 1997. (2) It shall come into force at once and shall be deemed to have taken effect on the day the Bank of Punjab (Amendment) Ordinance, 1997 (VII of 1997) stands repealed under Article 128(2) of the Constitution.
