ACT IX OF 2003 ACT IX OF 2003 BALOCHSITAN CONSUMERS PROTECTION ACT, 2003 An Act, to provide for promotion and protection of the interest of consumers [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 30th October, 2003] No. PAB/Legis: V(10)/2003, dated 30-10-2003.---The Balochistan Consumer Protection Bill, 2003 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Balohistan on 11th October, 2003 and assented to by the Governor of Balochistan, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly. It is hereby enacted as follows:- PART-III DISPOSAL OF COMPLAINTS 13. Jurisdiction of the Court.---(1) Subject to the other provisions of this Act, the court shall have jurisdiction to entertain complaints within the local limits of whose jurisdiction: (a) the opposite party or each of the opposite parties, where there are more than one, at time of the institution of the complaint, actually ,and voluntarily resides or carries on business or personally works for gain; or (b) any of the opposite parties, where there are more than one, at the time ,of the institution of the complaint, actually and voluntarily resides or carries on business, or personally works for gain provided that in such case either the permission of the Court is given, or the opposite parties who do not reside or carry on business or personally work for gain as the case way be acquiesce in such institution; and (c) The cause of action wholly or in part arises.
