Representation of Minorities.‑(1) A District Council, may in addi tion to the number of members fixed for District Councils, have such number of members from the minority communities as the Government may, by notification, fix. (2) Nothing contained in subsection (1) shall prevent the members of the minority communities from being elected to a general seat in any Local Council.
