ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1979 CHAPTER. VII‑ADMINISTRATION OF SERVICES 44. Provincial Unified Group of Functionaries.‑(1) Government may constitute a Provincial Unified Group of Functionaries of Local Councils hereinafter referred to as the said Group comprising such pay scales and grades and in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed; Provided that the appointments to such pay scales and grades as Government may prescribe, shall be made in consultation with the Provincial Unified Group of Functionaries Board to be constituted by the Government. (2) The Government may from time to time specify the posts in the Local Council which shall be filled by persons belonging to the said Group of Local Councils. (3) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) members of the Local Council Service constituted under the Basic Democracies Order, 1959 or servants appointed under any of the repealed enactments as may be specified, may be absorbed in the said Group constituted under subsection (i) if they possess qualifications prescribed therefor provided that the terms and conditions of servants shall not be less favourable than the existing terms and conditions. (4) Holders of the posts of the said Group shall be deemed to be Govern ment servants.
