ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1979 CHAPTER XIX‑ANIMAL TRESPASS 174. Delivery or sale of animals.‑(1) If the owner or his agent appears and claims the animals, the pound keeper shall deliver them to him on payment of the fine and charges incurred in respect of such animals under proper receipt to be recorded by the owner or his agent in the register. (2) If the animals be not claimed within seven days of impounding, the pound keeper shall inform the Officer incharge of Police Station who shall thereupon display at a conspicuous place in his office a notice stating the number and description of animal and places of seizure and impounding. A similar notice shall be displayed at a conspicuous place in the office of the Local Council. (3) If the animals be not claimed within seven days of the notice they shall be sold by the Chairman of the Local Council or the Chairman of a Municipal Committee or by his agent, by open auction after giving sufficient publicity in the area of Local Council: Provided that the person auctioning the animal or the Pound Keeper or his relatives shall not bid for or purchase the impounded animals. (4) The proceeds of the sale of animals shall be paid to the owner if he later on appears after deductions of fines and other charges.
