ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1979 CHAPTER XXIII.--‑OFFENCES AND PENALTIES 220. Punishments.‑‑(1) Whoever commits any of the offences mentioned in Part I of the Fourth Schedule shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both and if the offence is a continuing one with a further fine which may extend to one hundred rupees for every day after the date of the first commission during which period the offender has persisted in the offence. (2) Whoever commits any of the offences mentioned in Part 11 of the Fourth Schedule shall be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees and if the offence is continuing one, with further fine which may extend to fifty rupees for every day after the date of the first commission during which period the offender has persisted in the offence. (3) Out of the fine imposed under subsection (1) or subsection (2), the court imposing the fine may award such compensation for the loss to or damage of the property of the Local Councils as it may deem fit.
