ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1979 CHAPTER XXIII.--‑OFFENCES AND PENALTIES 223. Summary disposal of cases.‑(1) A Court taking cognizance of any offence punishable under the Ordinance, other than an offence mentioned is Part 1 of the Fourth Schedule, may state upon the summons to be served on the accused person that he may‑ (a) appear by pleader and not in person; or (6) by a specified date, prior to the bearing of the charge, plead guilty by registered letter and remit to the Court such amount, riot exceeding one hundred rupees as the Court may specify. (2) The accused person shall, if he pleads guilty to the charge forward fits licence, if any, to .the Court with a letter containing his plea in order that the conviction may be endorsed on the licence . (3) Where the accused person pleads guilty and remits the sum specified and has complied with the provision of subsection (2), no further proceedings in respect of the offence shall be taken against him nor shall he be liable to be disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence solely by reason of his having pleaded guilty.
