ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 ORDINANCE IX OF 1979 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1979 CHAPTER XXIII.--‑OFFENCES AND PENALTIES 230. Assignment of functions of Quetta Development Authority.‑‑ As and when Government decides to dissolve the Quetta Development Authority hereinafter referred to as the Authority, under section 150 of the Quetta Development Authority Ordinance, 1978 (IV of 1918), hereinafter referred to as Ordinance (IV of 1978), upon such dissolution :‑ (a) Government may also direct that all or any of the powers and functions vested in the Authority under the said Ordinance may be exercised by the Quetta Municipal Corporation/Committee ; (b) all powers and functions in respect of the work assigned to the Authority by the Central or Provincial Government under the Ordinance IV of 1978, or otherwise shall vest in Quetta Municipal Corporation/Commit tee ; (c) any person who immediately before the dissolution was an employee of the Authority shall become and be an employee of the Quetta Municipal Corporation/Committee ; (d) every person referred to in clause (c) shall be entitled to the same terms and conditions of service in respect of the remuneration, inter se seniority, disciplinary matters, leave. Contributory Fund, gratuity and such facilities and benefits as such person was entitled to immediately before the dissolution under the Ordinance IV of 1978 and the Rules and Regulations framed thereunder, or arising from any contract of service executed with the Authority and in force at the time of dissolution ; (e) Government may appoint competent authority to exercise respective powers as defined under section 14 of the Ordinance IV of 1978. (f ) all suits and other legal proceedings instituted by or against the Quota Development Authority may be continued by ‑or against the Quetta Municipal Corporation/Committee‑ (g) reference to the Quetta Development Authority in any instrument executed before the dissolution of the said Authority shall, unless a different intention appears, be construed as reference to the Quetta Municipal Corpora tion/Committee.
