BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER II‑LOCAL AREAS 7. Local Areas.‑(1) For the purposes of this Ordinance the Local Area; shall be a Union, Tehsil, District, Town, Municipality, Mohallah and a City. (1) Subs. by Ordinance I of 1982. (2) Government may, by notification, declare any area urban or rural . other than a Cantonment Board,, as: (a) A Town. (b) A Municipality. (c) A City: (d) A Union. (e) A Tehsil, or (f) A Mohallah. (3) Government may, by notification in the official Gazette, specify the name by which the Corporation, Municipal Committee (and Mohallah Com mittee), Town Committee, District Council, Tehsil Council and Union Council shall be known and unless the name is so specified it shall be known as the Municipal Corporation, ‑Municipal Committee (and Mohallah Committee), Town Committee District Council, Tehsil Council and Union Council as the case may be, of the place where its office is situated.
