BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER V‑ELECTION AND RELATED MATTERS 29. Removal.‑(1) The Government may, after. giving him an oppor tunity of being heard, remove a Chairman or a member of a Local Council from office in the prescribed manner, if he‑ . (a) has incurred any of the disqualifications enumerated in sections 21 and 22 ; or (b) absents himself without reasonable cause from three consecutive meetings of the Local Council ; or (c) is guilty of abuse of power or misconduct ; or (d) refuses to take oath under section 26, or is prevented from taking oath under subsection (2) of section 27. Explanation.‑In this subsection misconduct includes bribery, corruption, jobbery, favouritism, nepotism or wilful diversion of the funds of the Local Council or any attempt at or abetment of such misconduct. (2) A Chairman or a member of a Local Council removed under sub section (1) may submit a representation, within a period of 30 days from the date of the order of removal, to the Government.[ Subs. by Ordinance XIX of 1980.] (3) A Chairman removed from office shall cease to be a member.
