BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER VI‑EXECUTIVE POWERS AND CONDUCT OF BUSINESS 35. Executive authority and conduct of Business.‑(1) The executive authority of a Local Council shall extend to the doing of all acts necessary for the due discharge of its functions under this Ordinance. (2) Save as otherwise provided, the executive authority of Local Council shall vest in the Council and be exercised by its Chairman/Mayor. (3) All acts of a Local Council whether executive or others, shall be expressed to be taken in the name of the Local Council and shall be authen ticated in the prescribed manner. (4) There shall be a Secretary for each Local Council as under, who shall be incharge of the administration of such Local Council and shall perform such functions as laid down under this Ordinance or as may be prescribed. (a) District Council ... Assistant Director, Local Government and Rural Development (Ex officio). (b) Tehsil Council ... Development Officer, Local Government and Rural Development Department (Ex officio) ; (c) Union Council ... Village worker of Local Government and Rural Development Department (Ex officio) ; (d)Town Committee... An Officer of the Provincial Local Council Service Group. (e) Municipal Committee.-- An Officer of the Provincial Local Council Service Group/an Officer of the Provincial Unified Group of service. (f ) Municipal Corporation---‑ An Officer of the Provincial Unified Group of Service. Provided that the Secretary of Municipal Committee, except Quetta Municipal Committee may be designate,' as Chief Officer, of Quetta Municipal Committee as Chief Municipal Officer and of a Municipal Corporation as Municipal Commissioner.
