BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER VII‑ADMINISTRATION OF SERVICES 43. Provincial Local Councils Service.‑(1) Government may constitute a Baluchistan Local Councils Service hereinafter referred to as the said Ser vice comprising such posts in such pay scales and grades and in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed ; Provided that the appointments to such service shall be made in consultation with the Local Councils Service Selection Board to be constituted by the Government. (2) The Government may from time to time specify the posts in the Local Councils Service which shall be filled by persons belonging to the said Service of Local Councils. (3) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) members of the Local Councils Service constituted under the Basic Democracies Order, 1959 or Servants appointed under any of the repealed enactments as may be specified may be absorbed in the Service constituted under subsection (1) if they possess qualifications prescribed, therefor, provided that the terms and conditions of such servants shall not be less favourable than the existing terms and conditions. (4) Holders of the posts of the said Service shall be deemed to be Government Servants under the Baluchistan Civil Servants Act, 1974.
