BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER XVI‑MARKET COMMITTEES 90. Licences fn Market area.‑(1) After the date of issue of notification of the market area and the date of constitution of Market Committee which ever is later, no person, unless exempted by rules. shall either for himself or on behalf of another person or of the Government within limits of the farm Market or the Market Area set up, establish or continue or allow to be continued any place for the purchase and sale of the Farm produce or purchase or sell such produce except under a licence granted under .the provisions of this Ordinance, the rules or bye‑laws and the conditions governing the grant of such licence: Provided that a licence shall not be required by a grower who himself or through a bona fide agent sells his own produce or the farm produce of his tenants on their behalf or be a person who purchases any farm produce for his private use. (2) No broker, weighman, measurer, surveyor, warehouseman, muqadam, changarh, palledar, boriota, tola shall, unless authorised by licence, carry on his occupation in the Farm Market or Market Area in respect of farm produce. (3) The Chairman of the Market Committee shall be competent to issue, renew, cancel or suspend any of the licence mentioned in this section. (4) The District Council may fix the rates of fees to be charged by the Market Committee in the District for the issue of licences. The rates so fixed shall be notified in the prescribed manner.
