BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER XVII‑ANIMAL TRESPASS 100. Delivery of sale of animals.‑(1) If the owner or his agent appears and claims the animals, the pound keeper shall deliver them to him on payment of the fine and charges incurred in respect of such animals under proper receipt to be recorded by the owner or his agent in the register. (2) If animals be not claimed within seven days of impounding, the pound keeper shall inform the Officer Incharge of Police Station or Levy Thana who shall thereupon display at a conspicuous place in his office a notice stating the number and description of animals and place of seizure and impounding. A similar notice shall be displayed at a conspicuous place in the office of the Local Council. (3) If the animal be not claimed within seven days of the notice they shall be sold by the Local Council or by its agent by open auction after giving sufficient publicity in the area of the Local Council; Provided that the person auctioning the animal or the pound keeper or his relatives shall not bid for or purchase the impounded animal. (4) The proceed of the sale of the animals shall be paid to the owner if he appears within two months of impounding after deduction of fines and feeding and other charges.
