BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ORDINANCE, 1980 CHAPTER XIX‑SUPERVISION OP LOCAL COUNCILS 135. Inspection of Local Councils.‑‑(1) The working of the Local Council shall be inspected at least once in a financial year by the Inspecting Officer or Officers to be notified by the Government. (2) The Inspecting Officer shall have the power :‑‑ (a) to enter on, inspect and survey, or cause to be entered on or inspect and surveyed any immovable property occupied by a Local or any institution maintained by or any work in progress under the direction of the Local Council; (b) to call for and inspect or cause to be inspected files, registers, books or documents in the possession or under the control of a Local Council; (c) to require the production of such statements, accounts, reports, documents and copies of documents relating to the proceedings of a Local Council as the Inspecting Officer may think fit; (d) to attend meetings of Local Council and to take part in discussion and other proceedings but shall not have the power to vote; and (e) to inquire generally into the affairs of a Local Council.
