BALUCHISTAN CIVIL SERVANTS ACT, 1974 BALUCHISTAN CIVIL SERVANTS ACT, 1974 ACT IX OF 1974 An Act to regulate the appointment of persons to, and the terms and conditions of service of persons in, the service of Baluchistan [Gazette of Baluchistan, Extraordinary, 20th July 1974] No. Legis-X-(10)/74.----The Baluchistan Civil Servants Bill, 1974 having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of Baluchistan on 19th June 1974 and assented to by the Governor of Baluchistan, is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly. CHAPTER II TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF BALUCHISTAN CIVIL SERVANTS 13. Retirement from service.----A civil servant shall retire from service--- (i) in the case of a person holding the post of an Additional Secretary to the the Baluchistan Government or any equivalent or higher post, on such date as the competent authority may, in the public interest, direct; (ii) in any other case, on such date after he has completed twenty-five years of service qualifying for pension or other retirement benefits as the competent authority may, in the public interest, direct ; or (iii) where no direction is given under clause (1), or as the case may, be under clause (ii), on the completion of the fifty-eight years of his age. Explanation.-In this section, "competent authority" means the appoint ing authority or a person duly authorised by the appointing authority in that behalf, not being a person lower in rank than the civil servant concerned.
