ACT XII OF 1975 ACT XII OF 1975 BALUCHISTAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT, 1975 CHAPTER XI‑COMPULSORY FUNCTIONS OF MUNICIPAL COMMITTEES I‑BUILDING CONTROL 85. Regulation of Buildings.‑Except with the prior sanction of the Municipal Committee no building shall be put to a use other than the use as shown in the sanctioned building plan according to which it was erected or re‑erected; Provided that the Municipal Committee shall not sanction and change in the use of a building which may be in the violation or contravention of the Master Plan or Site Development Scheme, if any. (2) If any building or anything fixed thereon be deemed by the Municipal Committee to be in a ruinous state or likely to fall or in any way dangerous to any inhabitant of such building or of any neighbouring building or to any occupier thereof or to passers‑by, the Municipal Committee may by notice require the owner or occupier of such building to demolish it or to take such action in regard to the building as may be specified in the notice, and if there is default, the Municipal Committee may take necessary steps itself, and the cost incurred thereon by the Municipal Committee shall be a tax levied on the owner or occupier of the building under this Act. (3) If the building is in a dangerous condition or otherwise unfit for human habitation, the Municipal Committee may prohibit the occupation of such building till it has been suitably repaired to the satisfaction of the Municipal Committee. (4) If the building is in dangerous condition and declared unfit for human habitation, the Municipal Committee may for the purpose of demolition .eject the owner or occupier from such building with such necessary force as .may be required.
