Bounden duty of the court of appeal to apply its judicious mind and scan the available record as an appeal is the continuation of the proceedings.
Whenever appellate court is to reverse findings of court below, it has to give reasons for disagreeing with findings of lower court and also to advance reasons for its opinion in support of reversing the findings.
Appellate court is always expected to correct irregularities and illegalities committed by trial court.
