Connotation.
Words "Proceeding", "case", "order" and "any"-Connotation of - Word "proceeding", held, would have wider meaning than word "case"-Word "proceeding" could be given narrow or wide import depending upon nature and scope of enactment in which same was used, in particular context of language of enactment
Word "order" in general would be comprehensive enough to include all kinds of orders including formal orders Word, "any" excludes limitation and qualifications connotating wide generality.
S. 115-Words and phrases-Words "case" and "case decided" Meaning-Plaintiff filing application raising controversy between parties whether sufficient grounds for allowing amendment exist or not-Controversy affecting rights of parties-Order allowing amendment, held, falls within scope of "case decided".-[Words and phrases].
Meaning. According to the Shorter Oxford Dictionary, "proceeding" means to move onward, to go on with an action, a discourse, an investigation". It further means "the investigation or carrying on of an action at law, a legal action of process, any act done by an authority or a Court of law, any step taken in a case by either party."
