Ejusdem Generis

Doctrine or maxim of "ejusdem generis" would apply only under certain specific conditions- Three such pre-conditions being that, the members of the enumeration constituted a class, the class was not exhausted by the enumeration and the intent that the general terms be given a broader meaning.

Doctrine of ejusdem' generis will apply where there is nothing to show in the provision or Act that a wider sense was intended or the intention to give to the general term a broader meaning than the doctrine required was not manifested.
