ACT XIII of 2010 ACT XIII of 2010 BALOCHISTAN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ACT, 2010 An Act to consolidate and rationalize the law relating to formation of trade unions, and improvement of relations between' employers and workman [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 22nd February, 2011] No. PAB/Legis: V (14)/2010, dated 26-10-2010.--Balochistan Industrial Relations Bill No.14 of 2010 having been passed by the Provincial. Assembly of Balochistan on 14th October, 2010 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 15th October, 2010 is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. Whereas it is expedient to consolidate and rationalize the law relating to formation of trade unions, regulation of relations between employers and workman and the avoidance and settlement of any differences or disputes arising between them or matters connected ' therewith and ancillary thereto; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 1. Short title, extent, application and commencement.--(1) This Act may be called the Balochistan Industrial Relations Act, 2010. (2) It extends to the whole of Balochistan except tribal areas. (3) It shall come into force at once. (4) It shall apply to all persons employed in any establishment or industry, to the extent of Balochistan, but shall not apply to any person employed:-- (a) in the Police or any of the Defence Services of Pakistan or any services or installations exclusively connected with or incidental to the Armed Forces of Pakistan including an Ordnance Factory maintained by the Federal Government except those run on commercial basis; (b) in the administration of the State other than those employed as workmen by the Railway and Pakistan Post; (c) as' a member of the Security Staff of the Pakistan International Airlines Corporation, or drawing wages in pay group, not lower than group V, in the establishment of that Corporation as the Federal Government may, in the public interest or in the interest of security of the Airlines, by notification in the official Gazette, specify in this behalf; (d) by the Pakistan Security Printing Corporation or the Security Papers Limited; (e) by an establishment or institution for the treatment or care of sick, infirm, destitute or mentally unfit persons excluding those run on commercial basis'; (f) as a member of the Watch and Ward, Security or Fire Service Staff of an oil refinery, an airport or seaport; and (g) as a member of the Security or Fire Service Staff of an establishment engaged in the production, transmission or (h) distribution of natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas.
