ACT XIII of 2010 ACT XIII of 2010 BALOCHISTAN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS ACT, 2010 An Act to consolidate and rationalize the law relating to formation of trade unions, and improvement of relations between' employers and workman [Gazette of Balochistan, Extraordinary, 22nd February, 2011] No. PAB/Legis: V (14)/2010, dated 26-10-2010.--Balochistan Industrial Relations Bill No.14 of 2010 having been passed by the Provincial. Assembly of Balochistan on 14th October, 2010 and assented to by the Governor, Balochistan on 15th October, 2010 is hereby published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. Whereas it is expedient to consolidate and rationalize the law relating to formation of trade unions, regulation of relations between employers and workman and the avoidance and settlement of any differences or disputes arising between them or matters connected ' therewith and ancillary thereto; It is hereby enacted as follows:-- 63. Illegal strike and lock-out.--(1) A strike or lock-out shall be illegal if-- (a) it is declared, commenced or continued without giving to the other party to the dispute, in the prescribed manner, a notice of strike or lock-out or before the date of strike or lock-out specified in such notice, or in contravention of section 61; (b) it, is declared, commenced or continued in consequence of an industrial dispute raised in a manner other than that provided in section 60; (c) it is continued in contravention of an order made under section 48, section 49, section 62 or subsection (3) of section 64; or (d) it is declared, commenced or continued during the period in which a settlement or award is in operation in respect of any of the matters covered by a settlement or award. (2) A lock-out declared in consequence of an illegal strike and a strike declared in consequence of an illegal lock-out shall not be deemed to be illegal.
