My father passed away. My brothers are telling me that daughters do not get a share in properties, only cash. What is my legal share in my father's property under Pakistani inheritance laws?

Daughters are legal heirs. Under Muslim Personal Law, daughters inherit a fixed share (generally half of what the brothers get, i.e., 1:2 ratio). Denying a woman her inheritance is a criminal offense under Section 498-A of the Pakistan Penal Code, carrying a punishment of up to 10 years imprisonment. You can file a Suit for Partition of Inheritance in the civil court.
