A false FIR has been registered against me for fraud (Section 420 PPC) by a business rival. The police are raided my house. How can I avoid arrest? What are the grounds for pre-arrest bail?

You should immediately apply for Pre-Arrest Bail (Bail-before-arrest) under Section 498 CrPC in the Court of Sessions. The primary grounds are showing 'mala fide' (bad intent) on the part of the complainant/police, likelihood of irreparable loss of reputation, and showing that the charge is false. The court will grant ad-interim bail, preventing your arrest until the final argument.
