Recovery of Dowry Articles (Jehez) after divorce

My marriage ended in divorce. My ex-husband and in-laws are refusing to return my dowry articles (furniture, gold, electronics) which my parents gave me. How can I recover these?

You must file a Suit for Recovery of Dowry Articles or their alternate value in the Family Court. You should attach the list of dowry items (Jehez List) along with wedding photos showing those items. If the items are damaged or not returnable, the court will direct the husband to pay the cash value of those articles.
