I bought a mobile phone from a local vendor. Within 2 weeks, the screen failed, and the vendor is refusing to honor the warranty. Can I take this to the Consumer Court? What is the process?

Yes, you can file a claim in the Consumer Court under the Punjab Consumer Protection Act 2005 (or equivalent provincial laws). Before filing, you **must send a written Legal Notice** to the vendor/manufacturer via registered post within 30 days of the defect arising. If they do not resolve the issue within 15 days, you can file a complaint. The processis completely free, and you can represent yourself without a lawyer.
